Bits and Pieces

Nothing much new to report from the Troofer front. Jesse Ventura was on a radio program the other day with Michael Shermer from Skeptic Magazine. Ventura hit him with "Why haven't they indicted Osama bin Laden for 9-11?" It's a variation on the Sacred List fallacy, which usually gets phrased as "Why doesn't Osama's Most Wanted poster list 9-11 as one of his crimes?"

Of course, the reason is simple. Osama hasn't been indicted for 9-11 because the US already has plenty of indictments against him and there's no particular reason to get more unless and until he's brought into custody.

But what does Ventura think it means? Is there some "Truther" group of US attorneys, bravely refusing to indict Osama because they know 9-11 was really an inside job? And how would Jesse square that with the pending military tribunal of KSM?

Lenny Dykstra, the former baseball player who attracted our attention with his buddy-buddy relationship with Charlie Sheen and Alex Jones, has got more problems.

Former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Lenny Dykstra was arrested for investigation of grand theft, a day after he was charged with a federal bankruptcy crime, authorities said Friday.

Dykstra, 48, was arrested Thursday night by Los Angeles police at his Encino home on suspicion of trying to buy a stolen car, police spokesman Officer Christopher No said. He did not have other details.

Hat tip on the latter to Richard Gage's Testicles.

Truthers claim their numbers are on the "rise". LOL, they don't have enough yeast in them to make them rise. The only thing they have is an yeast infection.

Another plank in the mound of evidence that proves 9/11 "truthers" are criminals and degenerates.

Well done, RGT!

On what are they basing their claim? Is there a new poll out on Da Twoof?

Its the same crap almost every religion says to claim they are the fastest growing religion.

Anyway, I loved the part when the hoist asked Jesse about all the witnesses who saw 77 crash into the Pentagon, which resulted in him focusing on April Gallop. Yeah...1 person inside the building didn't see the plane therefore every one else is a liar. Way to be at the forefront of rationality Jesse.

When talking about April Gallop, did he even mention the Gallop legal action that's going on right now?

I don't think so.

I'm probably being naive here, but could one reason why OBL hasn't been indicted be due to the fact that the US aren't the only ones involved in chasing him down?

Surely at some point, once enough indictments has been stacked against OBL, the death penalty will be near inevitable, at which point it would become a minor headache if he was to turn himself in to one of the EU states present in the Afghanistan/Pakistan area.

Truther logic is something to behold:

bin Laden remains unindicted, therefore 911 was an inside job.

Nobody was fired in the wake of the 911 attacks, therefore 911 was an inside job.

Sgt [sic] April Gallop had a higher than top secret security clearance, therefore 911 was an inside job.

Shermer's performance was a bit disappointing in that he didn't challenge non-Seal Janos on his factual assertions. Janos claimed that there were no bodies, no luggage, no airplane parts, etc. In addition to the parts on the lawn there are easily available photos of other plane parts and those who went in to clean up after the crash reported seeing crispy passengers still strapped in. Of course, DNA from all passengers except one was found in the wreckage.

Shermer should have gone after the fool and challenged him on every false assertion.

Probably the most disturbing thing was the way that Jano launched petty insults at Shermer. Jeez, a fake Seal/fakewrestler/self-proclaimed "statesman" has the gaul to insult the integrity and intelligence of a thoughtful and intelligent man and nobody says anything about it.

DNA from all the passengers that hit the Pentagon. How do you get DNA from passengers when supposedly the whole plane disintegrated including engines.

So how is it that Building 7 fell straight down into it's own footprint. This is the smoking gun that they can not spin. If the building were struck by debris from the collapse of WTC 1 & 2, then the damage would have made the building fall to one side or the other, not the whole thing straight down in 9 seconds.
